We are delighted to say that, following the government announcement, we are able to open our buildings for Sunday worship. And we will indeed be doing so! This Sunday, 5th July, will see the return of our 10am Holy Communion services at both St,John the Evangelist Sidcup and All Saints Footscray but the service will be looking a little different!
How different is different?
On Sunday, especially if you are new to us, we will be asking for contact details so that if there is a case of Covid reported, you can be contacted. A second change is that only certain pews/seats will be in use in order to maintain separation. There will be orders of service out already marking where you can sit. We ask that you DO take these away with you at the end. We ask that you also observe social distancing and our one way system to move around the church. Also there will be no singing at our services and communion will only be able to be recieved in one kind only.
Are there any other services?
Our 10am Holy Communion service on Sunday will be the only service held in church but for those who cannot make the 10am for whatever reason, there will be a zoom service at 12 noon. We will also be posting regular prayers on our social media platforms and a Sunday reflection on Youtube.
How can we access the zoom services?
Please make contact with Rev.Cathy or message the Facebook page for links to zoom.
Is there access to the church for private prayer during the week?
Yes! During the week we are open 11am-1pm Monday-Saturday. Come in for some quiet time...maybe light a candle. All are welcome! Please click on the Church opening tab for more information.
